This Privacy Policy relates to the processing of personal data of visitors of our website and those making enquiries via our website. We have a separate Privacy Policy for clients which we provide at the point of instruction with our Client Care Letter.
We are a Data Controller of your information as defined by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
When you visit our website, we collect or process your data as a result of the following:
1. You fill out our enquiry form to make contact with us;
2. You send us information via email;
3. Via cookies through your web browser. We use strictly necessary cookies in order to enable our website to function correctly and are not required to seek your consent for these. For all other cookies, you provide us with your informed consent via our pop up which you fill out when you visit our landing page for the first time. We will process your personal data on a Legitimate Interest basis in accordance with our legal obligations under the GDPR. This is so that we can provide a requested service to you or carry out our business. For this reason we may retain your data, (i.e to keep a record of who you are etc once you instruct us.) Our legitimate Interest in processing your data will be overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms as an individual and so we would never process your data in contravention of this unless there was a legal basis for doing so.
Persons within our company who may have access to your personal data would be our employees, interns or directors. In certain circumstances, if strictly necessary - we my be required to disclose information we hold to third parties such as our regulators or law enforcement bodies, in order to comply with our legal requirements.
We will not transfer your personal data outside the UK or to third party companies.
Unless you have consented to receiving updates etc from us, or the law requires, we will store your data for 6 months and then destroy it. You have the right to request from us access to the personal data we store on you and to request that we amend or destroy it. You are also able to object to our processing of your data. 1. This prevents us from providing the requested service to you in which case we will seek to clarify your position and proceed accordingly;
2. We are required by law to act contrary to your request.
